About Launch a Local Career (LLC)
Classrooms without Walls

Designed for recently employed school leavers, graduates, and career changers, this 12-month programme supports new recruits in developing the essential skills needed to succeed in today’s workplace. Recruits join the LLC programme for 2 days a month.
The traditional part is working towards a Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management, gaining practical knowledge and confidence in key areas including time management, prioritisation, goal setting, stress and conflict management, communication and teamwork and adapting to change.
Alongside the qualification, delegates will take part in a series of challenges as part of the unique LLC 'classroom without walls' programme, engaging directly with local businesses and the community. The monthly challenges are designed to develop confidence, communication, resilience, leadership, and self-awareness beyond the traditional classroom environment.
Through practical challenges, teamwork, and real-world experiences, the programme empowers employees to maximise both their personal and professional potential while developing the skills employers value most.
